Student presentations

Best student presentation (poster or oral presentation)

Up to 3 very good posters or oral presentations presented during the congress can be awarded. Awards are given only in the General Assembly. Please mark your abstract "student award" when submitting.

Pre-congress student awards for free registration - deadline 1st March 2018

There will be up to five Awards which will provide free registration at the EAA Congress and also contribution to travel costs - at total fo 500 EUR. Students must submit a research paper (max length 2000 words) as the application for an award. The application form (download here) and the complete paper of the presentation must be submitted by the 1st March 2018 to the Secretary General of EAA (zsakaia@elte.hu). The application form includes all the information needed to complete an application for the Award.

Eligibility for the competition:

- the applicants must verify their student status by an official confirmation letter from its educational institute and the copy of their student card,
- the student must be a member of the EAA,
- the student must be a registered participant at the EAA Congress to be held in Odense, Denmark,
- the student must be the first and presenting author of the oral presentation,
- the student must have made a major contribution to the research,
- the Organizing Committee of the Congress should accept the abstract of the oral presentation (the student can officially enter the competition at the time of submission of the regular abstract),
- the paper must be presented in English (the official language of EAA Congresses is English),
- the application form and the complete paper of the presentation must be submitted by the 1st March 2018 to the Secretary General (zsakaia@elte.hu),
- the format of the paper will be abstract, introduction, methods, results, discussion and conclusion, and the total length must be 2000 words (in Arial font size 12) excluding tables, figures and references,
- a student winning this award is not eligible for an EAA student poster award at an EAA congress based on the same material (a student can apply for an award in future if the research uses new material).



All applicants have to be students at the time of application submission in the case of both student award applications. Post-doc status will be accepted as well for the student awards (the admissible beginning time of postdoc status should be specified, i.e. January 2017 in the case of the 2018 Congress).
